Open Mic starts again on Tuesday Feb 7.
If you are looking for an open mic in Melbourne on a Tuesday, come to the Empress Hotel, North Fitzroy. Frank does the sound, and the crowd are great.
Start: 8.30 pm
Finish: about 11.30 pm
Registration at the mixing desk from 7.30 pm
If you register at 7.30, you’ll have time to ring your friends and tell them your time slot, so they can come and see you - the night runs pretty-well on time.
what to do…
- three songs (or max 15 minutes on stage)
- any kind of music
- guitar amps fine
- originals preferred, but we won't throw tomatoes if you do covers
Bookings: You can now book a 30 min spot if you can GUARANTEE you will bring along 15 or more friends who will buy drinks. Ring me (Robin) on 0427 877 021 or contact us from the contact page. Only one booked 30 min slot per night, and bands welcome as long as your setup is fairly simple. For regular spots we don’t take bookings.

The Empress kitchen is closed Tuesdays, but you are welcome to bring take-aways - you’ll find Turkish, pizza and Chinese all a short walk away.
